Yesterday I hit 1000 Facebook fans and promised a pretty rad give-away, so here it is! One of you will own this patchworked wallet. Its the newest style of wallet in my shop. I wish i could capture just how roomy and AWESOME this wallet really is.



This wallet is made with random cotton fabrics from the depths of my scraps stash. It is fully lined in black cotton twill. It is very sturdy and interfaced.

Wallet features--A Zipper closure, an inside zippered change pocket, 6 credit card slots, two main pockets on each side-perfect fit for bills and/or checkbooks and a D-ring on the side. It measures approx. 9.75" wide with a 9" zipper opening and 4.75" tall







This wallet is one of a kind-- no two patchwork items are the same because of the random sizes and placements of the scraps. If you love this wallet so much that you just HAVE to have it there will be a similar one in my shop soon.

Its kind of older news now-- but i did get a new logo last year. I wanted to share.

Hang Tag Tutorial

A few have asked how i do my hang tags... Since i got a new logo design i ordered some new "business cards" and decided i'd make a blog post with pictures on how i do them! Here we go!

The very first thing you will need is Business cards, i chose my design and used a photoshop to place the image twice on one business card so that they would be small and cute and i will have more. :D I ordered mine from overnightprints.com but you can get free ones from Vistaprint or even print your own.

Here is everything you'll need. You can find a paper cutter and a corner rounder in the scrapbook section of any craft store, or if you want to save money you can cut the cards yourself and skip rounding the corners, i just think it adds a nice touch. Oh, my scissors arent pictured here but you will need those to cut your string ;)



Now that you have all of that, i start by cutting them in half.



then i round all the corners.



Then hole punch!


add the string and attach to your items!


Voila! enjoy!

Eco friendly short and sweet tutorial!

I dont know if any of you guys with kids frequent subway like we do but i have TONS of Kid Fit meal reuseable bags... TONS. So i've decided that for Zoe's 2nd birthday i am going to make some little gift bags out of them to have as party favors that can be reused for snacks or something. Here goes:
see... i said TONS


So i took one and cut it at the seams and cut a 6" by 10" rectangle like so:


then i added the velcro half and inch from each end and centered. The velcro that is going at the top of your bag should be sewn to the wrong size, and the other piece should be sewn to the right side.


then i folded the bottom part up 4.25" and pinned in place.


then i serged (you can use a zig zag stitch if you dont have a serger) up the two sides and the top.


and Voila!!


add some snacks (i perfer raw almonds, nom nom!)
